Susie Huggins

Administrative Assistant - Fundamentals of Engineering Program

Susie A. Huggins serves as the Administrative Assistant for the Fundamentals of Engineering Program in the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University. In this role, she supports the daily operations of the program, proactively anticipating program needs while assisting students and families in navigating challenges. Huggins is currently pursuing a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction and is actively engaged in STEM outreach, including supporting robotics programs and promoting professional development opportunities that help K–12 educators integrate STEM into their classrooms. She is a member of the Society of Women Engineers and the American Society for Engineering Education. A recipient of the Thriving Women Award, she used the award to place $2,000 worth of girls-in-STEM themed books in Little Free Libraries throughout Preston County to encourage early interest in STEM fields.
