Srinjoy Das is an Assistant Professor of Data Science in the School of Mathematical and Data Sciences at West Virginia University. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and M.S. in Statistics from the University of California, San Diego, in 2018, and subsequently held a postdoctoral research position in the Department of Mathematics at UCSD until 2021, when he joined WVU. His current research focuses on the development of algorithms for time series analysis, including methods for forecasting, clustering, and synthetic data generation. He is also interested in generative and foundation models, particularly their implementation on resource-constrained edge computing platforms. Prior to academia, he held lead R&D roles at Qualcomm and Atheros Communications, where he contributed to wireless modem and location technology chip design.
