Sam Mukdadi

Associate Professor - Department of Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering

Received his Ph.D. degree in December 2002 from the University of Colorado at Boulder. From December 2002 to December 2005 he was a Research Fellow working at the Department of Pediatric Cardiology at the Children's Hospital at Denver and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder. In December 2005, he has been appointed as Assistant Professor of Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering at West Virginia University. 

His current research interests are focused on the development of broadband ultrasound transducers for harmonic contrast imaging, biomedical diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound, cardiovascular biomechanics, ultrasonic nondestructive evaluation techniques, and micro- and nano- material characterization. He has authored/co-authored over 30 technical articles. In 2001, he received an outstanding paper award from American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
