Berry Professor - Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering
Rakesh Gupta is Professor and George and Carolyn Berry Chair of Chemical Engineering at West Virginia University where he has been teaching since 1991. Before coming to WVU, he taught at the State University of New York at Buffalo for eleven years. He has also worked briefly for the Braskem, DuPont and Monsanto Companies. His research is focused on polymer and food rheology, polymer and food processing, and polymer composites and nanocomposites. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Polymer Analysis and Characterization. He has been elected both as “Honored Service Member” and “Fellow” of the Society of Plastics Engineers.
