Gyawali’s research focuses on reliable, explainable, and multimodal AI, with interests in representation learning, uncertainty, generative modeling, and AI for scientific discovery. His work develops methodological foundations for trustworthy AI, motivated by challenges in medical imaging and healthcare. Prior to joining LCSEE, he was a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University School of Medicine and interned at Google.
