Paige Nesbit

J. Paige Nesbit received her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design from West Virginia University in 1994. After graduation, Nesbit worked in the printing industry for two years at Tri-State Printing, located in Ohio, receiving a background in print production, file management, photo re-touching, and direct mail marketing. Nesbit moved into the advertising industry in 1996, working for the advertising firm, Graphic Innovators, in Wheeling, West Virginia promoting local tourism, retail, restauranteurs, education, museums, politics, etc. During her time at this firm, the internet and websites became a more prominent field and she was charged with website development. In 1997, Nesbit was hired at Direct Axis Creative, LLC, a visual communications firm in Pittsburgh, PA with a large client base of higher education clients, non-profit agencies, engineering and healthcare corporations dealing with business to business and business to consumer marketing. After her first year with the firm she was promoted to Art Director, and then three years later to Vice President of Creative holding that position until her departure in 2009.

Working with the Statler College as one of Direct Axis Creative’s clients, Paige transitioned into the higher education market gaining employment with the Statler College in February 2009. She was charged with website development, magazine development, advertising, creating recruitment materials, videography, photography, support for development and events as well as other tasks. During her time at WVU she has created an online photography database, created marketing and communications materials on behalf of the college, departments and university. In May of 2019 she was appointed as director of marketing and communications of the Statler College. Nesbit and her creative team of talented individuals have produced a new podcast for the College, a hub for all media services, latest news, publications, websites and manage the college’s social media channels.
