Matthew Valenti

Valenti's research and teaching interests are in the areas of communication theory, wireless networks, error-control coding, secure biometrics, and statistical signal processing. He previously worked as an Electronics Engineer at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. Valenti serves as WVU’s Director of the Center for Identification Technology Research (CITeR). He is a recipient of the 2019 MILCOM Award for Sustained Technical Achievement. Valenti is registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of West Virginia and is a Fellow of the IEEE.
