Joel Palko, M.D., is an ophthalmologist who specializes in providing specialty treatment
of advanced glaucoma using minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, laser and traditional
surgery.
Dr. Palko joined the WVU Eye Institute and the WVU Department of Ophthalmology faculty in 2019. In addition to his clinical duties, Palko also works as a researcher. His research laboratory focuses on ocular biomechanics with the goal of better understanding the underlying causes of glaucoma.
