Christopher Ulishney

Research Assistant Professor - Department of Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering

Dr. Ulishney has experience in alternative fueled engine technologies. He has conducted engine experiments on engines ranging from 1 kW to 400 kW, including dedicated lean burn natural gas engines as well as diesel-natural gas dual fuel engines. He has expertise in gas composition effects from mixtures of methane, ethane, propane, and butane. As a PhD student he helped commission the optical engine laboratory at WVU which used high speed imaging (60,000 images per second) to capture fundamental combustion phenomena from dual fuel combustion. Dr. Ulishney is currently a CO-PI for a DOE research project aiming to study greenhouse gas emissions in the region.
