Dr. Alfred H. Stiller has been a member of the faculty of the Chemical Engineering Department since 1980. His research is primarily in the area of carbon materials from coal and coal conversion. Prior to joining the faculty he worked in the West Virginia Geological Survey. A second area of research involves Acid Mine Drainage and Mine Land Reclamation. Dr. Stiller holds several patents on a variety of technologies and was designated as the State Inventor by the governor.
